Linden Dudley named as Director of International Student Life
Linden Dudley, previously assistant director of International Student Life, has been named the new director of international student life at the University of Georgia.
Dudley’s appointment is effective December 1. She reports to Associate Vice President for Student Affairs Demetrius Smith and serves as a member of the leadership team for the Division of Student Affairs.
International Student Life, a department within the division of student affairs, produces several significant campus-wide programs. The International Street Festival, which celebrated its 23rd year in 2022, welcomes more than 5,000 attendees each spring to UGA and Athens for interactive cultural displays and musical and dance performances. This year, the weekly International Coffee Hour celebrated its 50th anniversary of bringing students, faculty and staff together weekly for international cuisine and, of course, coffee. It is one of the longest running programs of its kind in the United States.
In addition to supervising the ISL staff, she is responsible for developing the vision for programming and services, managing resources and facilitating a variety of cross-cultural and international programs that ensure developmental and academic growth, promote the success and retention of UGA’s international and multinational students and educating the university community.
Dudley has held several positions in International Student Life since 2017, directly supporting individual student needs, overseeing assessment, supervising a team of graduate assistants and student interns, directing many of ISL’s core programs, including the Tax Assistance Program, International Education Month, and International Street Festival. Dudley holds a Master of Education in Learning, Leadership, and Organizational Development from the University of Georgia, and earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Savannah College of Art and Design.
