International Education Week

In 2001, the United States Department of State and Department of Education created International Education Week (IEW) to promote the benefits of international education and worldwide exchange.This week is celebrated annually across the United States and typically occurs during the month of November each year. The next International Education Week is scheduled for November 14-18, 2016. In an effort to provide programs and services that prepare UGA students for a global environment, ISL puts on a week long of events and to celebrate international education here at UGA! If you attend our events, want to share photos, or just want to help us spread the word, please use #UGAIEW2016 to tag your posts!

To build a robust schedule for htis year's IEW, International Student Life and the Office of International Education encourage all UGA student organizations, colleges/schools, and departments to identify existing programs or consider planning a new program that aligns with this year’s program goals:

  • Celebrating the benefits of international exchange;
  • Promoting international understanding;
  • Preparing UGA students to live and work in a global environment.

To submit your existing program or new initiative please use the submission form at the bottom of this page. Program submissions due September 30th, 2016
